Do-Bid/Oberfoell Online Auctions accepts the following methods of Payment
Oberfoell Auctions accepts Cash, Cashier’s Checks, Money Orders (payable to Oberfoell Auctions), Visa, MasterCard, Wire Transfer, and Personal or Business Checks. Personal and business checks are subject to review, and Oberfoell Auctions reserves the right to require an unconditional Bank Letter of Guarantee guaranteeing payment in full upon demand.
Payment & Pickup Instructions
Staff is available at the removal location to handle payments in cash, cashier's check, or money order payable to Oberfoell Auctions. Credit card payments can be made by phone by calling Marilyn at 218-735-8619.
Wire transfers should be arranged during the designated "down day" scheduled between the auction closing date and the first pickup day. Contact Marilyn at 218-735-8619 to receive wiring instructions via fax. High bidders are required to make all necessary arrangements for removal, including hiring riggers if needed, to meet the designated pickup schedule. Fees & Sales Tax
Commission is typically generated through a buyer's premium collected from the purchaser at no expense to the seller. Sellers remain responsible for setup, advertising, marketing, and direct expenses associated with the sale.
Where applicable, Minnesota State Sales Tax is applied to the total contract sale price, which includes the base purchase price plus the buyer's premium in accordance with state law.
SALES TAX EXEMPTION
You need to submit a tax exempt form each event with your bidder number and the sale closing date prior to the conclusion of the auction.
For resalers or tax exempt, provide a copy of your state exemption certificate.
If you are tax exempt, prior to the conclusion of the online auction you must fax a copy of the appropriate state exempt form to 218-735-8564. Get form from here. You must include your bidding number and the closing date of the auction. Forms without this information will not be accepted and you will have to apply to the state for a refund.
