20 T20-1.jpgYes, this lot includes travel games and vintage toys, but the real money is in this vintage collectible lucky spark plug. You see, this is not an ordinary spark plug. In 1963, only a few short months before the Dayton, Ohio Studebaker walkout strike (a/k/a "Big Bertha of the Midwest"), Elliot Loudermilk was finishing up his QA processes on a secret Studebaker prototype. While the patent had been stolen from the Flint, MI Ford office two years prior by a disgruntled middle management employee and sold to Studebaker for an undisclosed sum, it was Mr. Loudermilk who took the smudged blueprints (at this point, "blackprints" due to wear, tear, and soot) and crafted an all-original mockup of the Studebaker 16.

This underground model was a V12 with four additional backup pistons, which many automotive scholars have dubbed the First Turbo Engine. It was this spark plug that was used to test Elliot's Studebaker 16 engine, now considered one of the finest engines to never hit the market.

Sadly, Elliot passed away only days after his batch testing, leaving his legacy and the dream of the Studebaker 16  in a myriad of legal procedures and permanent bankruptcy. This item was purchased in kind by his lovely wife Rita, who now spends her days alone on Woman Lake with the occasional trip to Longville for supplies.
